Description (Service) |
Program allows youth an opportunity to accept responsibility for their offence(s) and make amends without incurring a youth court record. Following referral of the matter by the Crown Attorney to COSP, the youth will complete meaningful sanctions relating to the referring incident. COSP will advise the court in writing of the youth's program involvement and how successful they were in completing their assigned EJS requirements. Unsuccessful program participation will result in the matter being returned to the Crown Attorney for resolution. Typical EJS sanctions include: apology letter. compensation to person harmed, attendance at an information/education session, written report or essay, charitable donation from personal earnings, community service hours or other appropriate agreements. |

Application |
