Description (Service) | CV19 Office closed until further notice, however, staff will work remotely and will call or access Zoom meetings to provide support -- to contact call 613-962-0892 or follow Facebook for updates * All in-person support groups, educations sessions and home visit are cancelled until further notice ( March 26, 2020) Provides information and support to persons dealing with the challenges of dementia * Includes family and professional caregivers, persons living with dementia and the general public * works with neighbouring Societies in presenting public forums, a caregiver retreat and a workshop for persons living with dementia * has a wide variety of brochures and information pamphlets, along with a lending library * An Education and Support co-ordinator will make home and office visits to discuss a family's challenges with dementia and help plan for future needs * works closely with other community resources, such as Providence Care outreach teams, the Family Health Team, Community Care for Seniors to make referrals to appropriate resources * is a source for the MedicAlert Safely Home (MASH) program to register persons with dementia, in case of wandering risks. |

Meetings | Caregiver support groups meet in Picton and Wellington monthly. Visit the website or call the office for current dates, times and locations. Education series and public education sessions are scheduled throughout the year. |
