| Description (Service) | CV19 Office closed until further notice, however, staff will work remotely and will call or access Zoom meetings to provide support -- to contact call 613-962-0892 or follow Facebook for updates * All in-person support groups, educations sessions and home visit are cancelled until further notice ( March 26, 2020) Provides information and support to persons dealing with the challenges of dementia * Includes family and professional caregivers, persons living with dementia and the general public * works with neighbouring Societies in presenting public forums, a caregiver retreat and a workshop for persons living with dementia * has a wide variety of brochures and information pamphlets, along with a lending library * An Education and Support co-ordinator will make home and office visits to discuss a family's challenges with dementia and help plan for future needs * works closely with other community resources, such as Providence Care outreach teams, the Family Health Team, Community Care for Seniors to make referrals to appropriate resources * is a source for the MedicAlert Safely Home (MASH) program to register persons with dementia, in case of wandering risks. |
