Description (Service) Settlement Program (formerly Immigrant Settlement and Adaptation Program) -- orientation programs, language and skills training to help facilitate employment, and programs to welcome newcomers to the community * may provide needs and eligibility assessments, pre- and post-arrival information and referral, job search and employment counselling, assistance to establish social and professional networks to promote community engagement, and assistance to access a range of settlement services 
* matching program for newcomers to be paired with a volunteer 
* citizenship class offered only in french ** all other services available in many languages

Eligibility Programs are open to: Permanent residents * Convention Refugees and Protected Persons * Foreign students * Temporary foreign workers * Foreign students with work permit (post-graduate) * Applicants for Humanitarian and Compassionate Considerations with an approval letter
Application Call or drop in to make an appointment. Clients must bring their immigration documents, which indicate their current status in Canada (for example, a permanent residence card, a notice of decision from the Refugee Board or a document showing the client's picture, their 8 or 10 digit client number, etc.)
