Description and Services
Description (Service) COVID-19 (5 Jun 2020): for the duration of the pandemic, the Center offers various online services such as live activities by videoconference. Center staff are also available on-line as needed. To keep up to date with activities or to contact support services, telephone 613 789-3020, extension 238 or send an email to onyva@grandirensemble.ca.

Offers playgroups, workshops, drop in daycare, resources, early intervention and family support

Playgroups : A facilitator-educator offers a variety of activities to promote children's overall development and socialization (crafts, games, songs, etc). Interactive workshops on various topics are also regularly offered during the playgroups. Offered at Le Carrousel, 431 St-Laurent Blvd; École Jean-Robert-Gauthier, 651 Chapman Mills pr.

Drop-in daycare: Available at 431 St Laurent Blvd. Ratio of one educator for five students, with a maximum of 15 children at a time.

Early intervention services and family support: available through all the City of Ottawa. The service includes a home visit, coaching, support to strengthen parental skills, distribution of other resources' pamphlets, referrals to many community services and professionals, and loans of toys, books/CDs and educational material for children. Principally aimed at families with young children and/or newcomers to Canada.

Workshops: Offered to parents, caregivers and professionals. These workshops focus on the daily challenges that may face parents and caregivers in the education of young children. It deals with discipline, parenting style or the overall development of children.
