Description and Services
Description (Service) Literacy and Basic Skills 
Literacy, numeracy and essential skills services to assist in transitioning to employment, apprenticeship, secondary-school credit, post-secondary education or independence * support in clarifying upgrading goals and developing a training plan to achieve them 
 
Academic upgrading that helps individuals develop the necessary skills for entry into post-secondary education, apprenticeship training or employment 
 
Learners are tutored individually by trained volunteers in weekly sessions which take place in the Society's offices * meeting times are flexible * computer workshops available on site
Hours Program hours Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm

Eligibility Ages: 19 year(s) and up 
 
Primarily serves adult learners wanting to improve their literacy and numeracy skills to achieve goals of further education and training, employment or increased independence * must have facility in English or French and literacy skills below Grade 12 of the Ontario Curriculum
