Description and Services
Description (Service) The Salvation Army operates the Toy Centre and manages the distribution of the toys to qualified families. * Free toys are distributed to eligible families from December until Christmas.

Eligibility Children born after December 1st, 2006, of families receiving social assistance, low-income families or recent immigrants Individuals falling within the Low Income Cut-Off Measures as set out by Statistics Canada. Numbers represented are before tax.

Application Call 2-1-1 to obtain an appointment at the Toy Centre Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm

Registration begins on October 15th, 2019 and will end on December 20th, 2019; individuals who want to register on December 21st, or 23rd can do so in person at the Toy Centre * the Toy Center will open on December 2nd and close on December 23rd, 2019.

Toy Centre appointment: Clients must bring their Client ID number, a proof of income, as well as a piece of identification that confirms their address, as well as identification and date of birth for each child they are picking toys up for * acceptable identification includes: driver's license, passport, hospital card, report card with the address on it, birth certificate, immunization record, apartment lease, bill, etc. * the health card is accepted for the child's proof of age
