Description (Service) Francophone association for parents of dyslexic children and other learning disabilities  
 
Provides information to parents and professionals about learning disabilities (dysphasia, dyspraxia, attention-deficit disorder (ADD)/attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)) * teaches and supports parents and francophone educators * encourages early detection of learning disabilities in order to assure that each child has the tools to succeed * informs about the symptoms linked to the different forms and levels of dislexia * explains the different teaching strategies and adaptive methods that can be used to help students at risk

* information sessions and sharing 
* support to parents, in person, by phone or email 
* training for parents 
* training for teachers and educators 
* keeps members updated by sending out e-mails 
* produces lists of community organizations 
* represents parents and their children in diverse fields of education and early childhood education
