Description (Service) Provides support services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families

Day Programs: instruction provided for adults in gross motor skills * life skills * cognitive and perceptual skills * language and communication * ongoing assessment * individual program planning * vocational and pre-vocational assessment and training * sheltered employment * job placement * rehabilitation and employment options including school-to-work transition for adults aged 18 and over with multiple disabilities

Residential Programs: supported accommodation for adults in homes and apartments * assessment and training in living skills for adults aged 18 and older * group and individualized care * may include those with dual diagnosis * physical disabilities * 18 residential sites which differ in degree of supervision and intensity of programs * all focus on providing support, education and training in independent living skills

Family Support Programs: alternative support is provided for adults in families through In-Home and Out-of-Home Respite and Family Home Program

Developmentally disabled adults from 18 years and older, who are encouraged to participate in community-based programs, such as school, day programs or employment
Application Referral to this program is through Developmental Services Ontario at, toll free, 1-855-376-3737. Priority is based on need, date of referral and availability of service.
Languages English ; French - The Maryland Residence is designated as partially bilingual.
Fees Service - Fees for residents' rooms ; Fee assistance available for residents ; assistance is provided by the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP).
