Description (Service) | Offers current Ontario curriculum courses leading to a grade 12 diploma through full-time, part-time or eLearning * offers a series of courses that are especially designed for adults who have not completed their high school education * instruction focuses on reading, writing, mathematics, science and social studies * individuals who successfully complete the program receive a high school diploma Professional staff in a caring supportive environment provides one-on-one assistance * teacher-led or self directed computer classes, employability-directed workshops, individualized counselling, and literacy assessment offered Links with Employment and Education Centre, KEYS, Job Connect, Manpower, CSE Consulting, OYAP, and United Counties Social Services. Specialized programs, where available, include literacy for adults (LBS), English as a Second Language (ESL), Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC) and Foundations Program, Successful Destination Program (SDP), Alternative Behaviour Learning Environment (ABLE), Supervised Alternative Learning for Excused Pupils (SALEP), Co-operative Programs, On-Line Learning, Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) for Mature Students (18 years and older) available at no cost to adults and youth |
