Description (Service) | Provides advocacy and support to youth and youth at risk, and assessment and referral services for youth and families Youth Justice Committee: for youth involved in extrajudicial measures through the police or extrajudicial sanctions through the court Goal driven short-term mentoring program: for youth 12-17 years old Rebound: ten-week cognitive skills group for youth 12-17 years old * facilitated both in schools and in the community School and Non Academic Program (SNAP): for youth suspended or expelled from school Substance use and addictions counselling: program offered through outreach to schools and in-office appointments Mediating through Empowering using Nurturing Dialogue (MEND): a restorative approach offered to schools to support school-wide cultural change from a retributive approach to deal with conflict to a more restorative approach to supporting people in conflict Youth Outreach Worker Program: supporting high risk and at risk youth in the community and connecting them with community services such as employment, school and counselling Intersections: an early intervention and referral program for youth 8-17 who are in contact with police for non criminal behaviour (12-17) criminal behaviour (8-11) because of mental health, addictions, developmental needs or problematic behaviour.
