Description and Services
Description (Service) Stroke-related support groups for survivors of stroke and their care partners * provides one group for stroke survivors, one group for care partners and one group for couples * groups offer education, mutual support and an opportunity to share experiences * helps people to better adjust as they move into the community  
Living with Stroke is a series of six sessions that include the topics: Understanding Stroke, Physical Changes and Challenges, Swallowing & Nutrition, Emotions, Activities & Relationships, Cognition, Perception & Communication, Reducing risk of Stroke. Offered two times per year. 
"Folks with Strokes" is a social/recreational group for stroke survivors and their partners * peer visitors with personal experience who can provide support, information, and connect individuals with the appropriate support group * Stroke Recovery Fitness Program 
Peer Visiting Program provides trained volunteers who have had a stroke to visit in the hospital and community to offer personal experience, information and encouragement.
