Description (Service) Literacy organization * offering literacy programs from October to April every year, as the majority of tutors are Queen's University students

Prison Literacy Initiative: places trained and screened volunteer tutors at area prisons to teach literacy and numeracy skills

Read For Fun Program: places trained and screened volunteer tutors with Grades 1-6 children with literacy and numeracy needs on a one-to-one basis in 10 reading circles in area schools and libraries

Literacy Outreach Program: places trained and screened volunteer tutors with children in shelters in Kingston

Helen Tufts Child Outreach Program: places trained and screened volunteers tutors with children age 6 to 12 years old with social, literacy and numeracy needs
